The HO scale model
train bridge shown on the right was constructed on a
HO scale module. It is part of the
Mohegan Pequot Model Railroad club's
traveling layout and can be seen at shows throughout southern New
England. The model is unusual in that it was constructed in 90
days and featured in the book
90 Days To Rockville
.
The model railroad bridge version is 1/4 the length of the real bridge with 12
arches instead of 48 and was made from casting resin. It sits
on two six foot modules with the the twelve bridge arches spanning nine
feet. The model earned a Honorable Mention in the module
contest at the 2009 National Train Show in Hartford, CT.
